Over the past 20 years in the workforce, I have rarely ever really known what I wanted to do. Not like grade school friends who were going to be doctors and actually grew up to become a doctor. Instead, I know a lot of what I do not ever want to do, and I learned most of it the hard way! I

My very first "professional"-ish job was working in a lab for a plasma center. Within a year I was out on the floor shoving 16g 1.5# needles into people's arms with no room for error. I thought that was going to be a career path, so I even went to college and became certified and everything. Upon graduating, I've never stuck anyone with a needle that big ever again. However, if you need any assistance administering doctor-prescribed medication, I have a very steady hand.

I've seen millions of bad resumes. Although a resume cert is one of the few on my list to obtain one of these days I can say I've seen MILLIONS of terrible resumes written by (who one might imagine) to be very intelligent people in virtually every other aspect, except when it comes to talking about themselves. No judgements. We've all been there. Let's get you where you need to be.

Job searches, mock interviews, motivational "high-fives," and a shoulder for the rejections that won't come because you'll be ghosted. I'm just kidding :) I've worked in agency staffing fo the past 5 years :)

When I was trying to figure out what I was passionate about in my early 20s, I really and no idea what I wanted to do. I knew what I didn't want to do... which conveniently left 'management' (albeit HR management). I learned how to be a better BOSS and inevitably stuck in a career path that landed me in HR. Everyone always asks what's so exciting about HR... and it's not.

In addition to earning the American Staffing Association's 'Certified Staffing Professional" cert which covered 100% employment law all the way through I have also earned the ASA's 'Technical Services Certified" cert which just means that I'm not smart enough to program a computer, but I am brilliant enough to pull a wonderful magin out of whatever deal we make.

Lastly, I have earned the SHRM-CP and plan on sitting for the PHR in coming years or just going back to finish a Master's. Not sure yet.

What a random question for you to ask! Interestingly enough, YES I have been an ordained minister since 2013. I was first ordained through the Universal Life Church, and then later on ordained twice more through the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and then through the Church of the Subgenius. Touched by his noodley appendage!
